But I got some good feedback on it and had to rerender it at 4K so
I'll finally post it here.
Modeling was done with Silo2, rendered in c4d and post in AE and PS.
Lighting is only 1 area light and GI with an HDRI
I wasn't really sure about the title for the image. Maybe
"an eye for an eye..." would have been better, but somehow it's too late.
Like often when I do an image, first I modeled the tooth
(I hope everybody got that right...) and then thought about, what to do with it. First I put it in a tub for brushing himself but somehow it didn't felt brutal enough, so with the help of the Duke, I came up with this.

Modeling in silo2 and c4d. Rendering in c4d. It took about 2hrs due the blurry refractions from the bears. And of course quite a lot of post in photoshop.

I'd be lucky about any critique about posing, dramatization or yumminess.

Hope I didn't spoil anbodys appetite for candys
I did this one for a contest on www.itsartmag.com
Unfortunately I didn't win anything ;-)
As you (hopefully) can see, the Homo sapiens with his razorsharp mind and wooden surfboard is clearly superior to the poor Neandertal who will drown and extinct over the time.
Interpret it as you like, but I see it like that.
It's not that certain companies or people wouldn't have a consciousness for right and wrong. It's just, that they are somehow distracted...

For the skin I used the built in sss shader from c4d. And for the first time I'm quite happy with the result. But It's still fuc*?! slow...
maybe they will fix it with the AO in version 12 ;-)
He might really be a knight partying after a victorious battle or maybe just a bum who stole a dead knight's armor.

Whoever he is, he appreciates a good mug of beer.

I tried to make him look drunk, but i'm not sure if I reached the goal convincingly.
When I noticed, that all these Videogame heroes aren't getting older in spite of all their injuries and uncountable "deaths", I had
to change this. I think it wouldn't be fair if the heroes of our childhood are still young and vital, when we can watch our hairs getting gray and the hairline constantly rising...
I modeled them in silo with references and aged them a bit afterwards.
Rendering was done in c4d, 2 area lights, radiosity for the lightbounce and of course AO.
modeling was done with Silo2, rendering in c4d and the post in after effects, because I really like the possibility to change every effect, filter, etc. at any state of the project.
I'm practising 3D for about 3 years and I'm still an amateur, nevertheless I tried to get a professional look with that render. first I only used an HDR-image of my living room for the reflections, but they where not really satisfying. So I started to place reflections manually with self-illuminated planes.
The whole work without building the platic kit was about 20hours.
finally I'm pretty happy with the result. but I guess some guys here have something to say.
I'd like to know, what you're thinking about the presentation, lighting and the materials.
